#18 LISTEN TO ALL THE CONFERENCE TALKS FROM ALL THE LIVING APOSTLES

Image
During this goal I realized how much spare time I have.  I listened to the talks of all 15 of the living apostles while I was getting ready in the morning.  This took me three years to do.  Through the process I became more acquainted with  these extraordinary men.  I gained a stronger testimony of the mission, ministry and message of the Savior.  My realization increased that perfection is not an event, but a process.

#17 CREATE A QUILT FROM GRANDMA'S OLD BLANKET

Image
Madison & Sandi surprised me with this quilt they made for me for Christmas 2019!  The middle 4 sections are part of a worn out quilt that my Grandmother Sarah Johnson had made from worn out clothes.  She had hand stitched her quilt.  This is all they could salvage from that quilt with all the tears and worn out material.  They put a soft black material on the back so I can use it whenever I want!  Every time I see it I think of my ancestors and the great sacrifice of work and struggle they made so that I can have what I do today!  I hope to make them proud!!  I have talked to Sandi about doing something with the quilt for years!  I am so grateful for them and their hard work!! What you don't see in the background is that I am wearing a onesie that Madison brought home from Canada for me.

#16 ATTEND AN OPERA - BALLET - ORCHESTRA - PLAY

Sandi and I wanted to enjoy the arts.  So we decided to go to an Opera " Madame Butterfly" in San Jose California, a symphony "Pirates of the Carribean" and " Harry Potter"at the Salt Lake Symphony.  We also wanted to go to more plays.  We enjoyed the Scarlet Pimpernel at Hale Center Theater and Hunch Back of Notre Dame at Centerpointe Theater.  I discovered that I enjoy the arts and theatre.  Stories and plays that I am familiar with or that have a great story line are extremely enjoyable, but not an Opera.  After a few minutes of the opening of Madame Butterfly, I was ready to bolt.  It was a long night.
